Born and raised on Long Island, I am very fond of the bagel. If I still lived on Long Island, my Yelp pages would be full of bagel reviews. Unfortunately, in Las Vegas where I now live, Einstein Bros which could not make it on Long Island, is the main source of bagel shops. My Dad, whom I was visiting on Long Island is well aware of my fondness for the Long Island bagel. When my Dad was returning an Amazon package next store at the UPS Store on May 15, 2024, he decided to stop by Holbrook Bagels to treat us to a bag of bagels that would be our breakfast the next two days. When we walked into the shop around noontime, it was quiet. We walked into a small bagel shop that did not have the bells and whistles of a plenitude of seats and interesting interior. It was pretty much a small mom and shop bagel shop that appeared to be more oriented towards take-out. At noon-time, the bagel display had a healthy number of bagels as seen in my picture. On this quiet day, the customer service was solid. Related to a good customer service experience, Holbrook Bagels was a breeze to get in and out of. Fast forward to the next two breakfasts my warmed up poppyseed bagel (added cream cheese) tasted really good. My Dad says the same about his pumpernickel bagels. This gave me the impression that they are really good bagels that I would enjoy eating again for breakfast.
Very good bagels, fast service. I've seen reviews of this place saying the owner and staff are rude but I have never experienced this. I am always greeted by friendly faces and excellent bagels.
Holbrook Bagels Bakery is the only place in Holbrook to get a bagel that is fully cooked. Great bagels and egg sandwiches. The Holbrook Plaza parking lot leaves a lot to be desired but this store is worth going in there
Today is 6/24/2023 I just ordered a bag bagels. The bagels are the best on Long Island. You must try these bagels for yourself and you will agree the bagels are #1 on Long Island. You have not tasted bagels until you have tasted these bagels. Yes, they are that good !!!
